Hearst Minority Fellowship
Comments: The Hearst Minority Fellowship is designed to engage more minorities in the study of philanthropy through one of the graduate degrees offered by the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. Administered by the Center, the Hearst Fellowship consists of 10-month, full-time research pursuing one of several masters degrees available. $9000 stipend and tuition waiver included.

International - American Medical Student Association
Comments: This organization offers fellowships, scholarships and funding to premed and medical students. Also, it has a long list of links regarding international study abroad programs.

International - Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships
Comments: A grant for undergraduate students who want to study abroad during their academic year. Eligibility: Students must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant, has already been accepted into a study abroad program, is planning to study in 1 country for at least 4 weeks, and their country of choice is not on the government’s “Travel Warning” list.

International - Career Center: Action Without Borders
Comments: A long list of various nonprofit and public policy fellowships for both in the United States and abroad.

International - Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program
Comments: The program offers ten fellowships for up to two years of graduate study in international affairs, a summer enrichment program, and two summer internships. Applicants must be in their senior year of undergraduate study or have completed their undergraduate degree. Must show financial need.

International - Freeman-ASIA Program
Comments: Funding for U.S. undergraduates who display financial need and plan to study abroad in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Students must study abroad for at least 8 weeks in the summer, 10 weeks for a quarter term, and 12 weeks for a semester.

International - Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program
Comments: Teachers of first through twelfth grades are encouraged to apply for this three-week visit to Japan. The sholarship is funded by the Japanese government.

International - Global Horizon Project, Inc.
Comments: Funding for Latino, Native and African American students who are interested in pursuing careers in finance, non-profit management, business, law, marketing and journalism. The amount ranges from $1000-4000. Students must have a GPA of 2.9 or higher, be returning to full-time student status in the fall, or be a first year law student. Students must also have proof of a job or internship in their field of interest prior to the application deadline. GHP requires award recipients to travel for at least two weeks in a country other than the one in which they worked.

International - Institute of International Education
Comments: Search the different study abroad and exchange opportunities this organization funds or helps fund.

International - National Security Education Program
Comments: This federal organization provides scholarships to undergraduate students who want to study in countries outside of the U.S., Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. In return, students must agree to work for the federal government. Full-year study abroad programs are encouraged, and summer-only programs are limited to Freshmen, Sophomores, and all engineering and applied sciences students as long as the program is at least 8 weeks in duration. Applications are due in February.

International - NBR “The Next Generation: Leadership in Asian Affairs” Program
Comments: A year-long fellowship for master’s degree recipients. Fellows will help publish research and share their findings with policymakers in Washington, D.C.

New York Urban Fellows Program
Comments: Provides a paid, nine-month fellowship working in the mayoral office and city agencies with intensive seminars on policy issues. Designed for recent college graduates.

Public Allies
Comments: Dedicated to public service, Public Allies places young adults in paid one-year community leadership positions in nonprofits or government agencies, with one day/week in training seminars available as well.

Public Interest Research Group
Comments: Offers two-year fellowships for recent graduates interested in public interest advocacy and administration. Fellowships are available nationwide, narrowed down to specific fields, states, and locations.

Stanford Public Interest Network
Comments: Stanford alumni network based in New York City to raise awareness of public service opportunities in careers and studies. Provides networking services and annual fellowship opportunities.
