Action Without Borders International
Comments: An excellent public service resource site. Contains lists of over 40,000 organizations across the world, thousands of volunteer opportunities, and listings of jobs and internships, as well as newsletters, updates on nonprofit career fairs, all tailored by the profile, interests, and geographic region you specify.

Aid Workers Network
Comments: Site provides list of links with job opportunities in International Development.

Alert Net
Comments: Development job board, NGO directory and email alert capabilities.

Amizade
Comments: A variety of volunteer and service-learning programs in various countries. Individuals can join programs on their own, or the organization customizes programs for groups of six or more. There is a program fee.

Asian Development Bank Internships

Comments: Development job listings. Many of the jobs are for the Pacific Islands area.

Ecology and Conservation Opportunities
Comments: Lots of job search sites subcategorized under environmental, government, and organizations.

Europe- Eurobrussels.com
Comments: Website lists job and internships opportunities in the areas of EU Institutions, Law Firms, International Organisations, NGOs and Political Consultancies, Academic and Think Tanks, IT and Business. Jobs are targeted toward graduate students and some may have EU work authorization restrictions.

Foreign Policy Association
Comments: Click on “job board” to view listings. Can also receive weekly email of available positions. Nice selection of jobs in U.S. and abroad related to International Affairs and Development.

Foundation for Sustainable Development
Comments: The Foundation for Sustainable Development was founded in 1995 to support the efforts of local development organizations working to improve the welfare of the people living in their communities. FSD provides these grassroots organizations with human resources, financial resources, and technical assistance. A variety of opportunities exist to go abroad through this organization, from as short as one week to one year. Program Cost: Yes.

InterAction.org
Comments: To find job opportunities, scroll down and click on left hand “Jobs!” link. Includes global opportunities, internships, and volunteer positions. Jobs in Washington DC as well as other opportunities around the world through sister organizations.

International Finance Corporation
Comments: Full time opportunities for recent graduates and summer opportunities for graduate students.

International Institute for Environment and Development in London
Comments: Job openings at this Institute are posted under the “About IIED” tab and then “Current Vacancies”. There is also information and articles about the Institute.

List of Humanitarian Websites
Comments: A metasite of humanitarian websites. There are links to pages that list different humanitarian organizations, research opportunities and more, including pages for Non-Governmental Organizations, Regional Organizations, Bilateral Organizations, and Research Institutes.

-Microfinance Gateway
Comments: Worldwide job listings specific to microfinance in International Development.

Peace Corps
Comments: Homepage for the international service organization. Volunteers work for two years in the following areas: education, youth outreach, and community development; health and HIV/AIDS; agriculture and environment; business development; and information technology. Volunteers receive a living allowance, stipend for transitioning after their service, and can defer repayment of some student loans.

Project DOSTI
Comments: Project DOSTI enables students to learn about India while working with the country’s foremost social leaders on a project specific to one community. Past projects have included establishing programs for education, health, and economic growth. Two six-week sessions in July and August. Affiliated with the Haas Center for Public Service.

RAND
Comments: Policy and research think tank. Fellowships and Graduate Student Summer Associate Program.

SAID/SOIL Fellowships
Comments: One fellow will work in Uganda with the Foundation for the Development of Needy Communities which has programs spanning health care and career training to female empowerment and youth development. The other fellow will work with the Child-In-Need Institute (CINI Asha) in Kolkata, India which has built centers for socially disadvantaged youth with the goal of putting those children through school. Fellows must participate in a 1-unit student-led course in the spring. Travel and living expenses will be partially funded by the program.

UNESCO Internships
Comments: Unpaid 1-3 month internships for graduate students or those who have completed their Bachelors degree. Job opportunities in the health fields exist in health education.

United Nations
Comments: Click on the “Employment” tab to find job openings in the UN. Also, this site contains information about the United Nations and its goals and events.

USAID
Comments: Volunteer and paid summer internships in international development. The positions listed on the website are consistently updated.

Volunteers in Latin America (VILA)
Comments: Volunteer for eight weeks in Quito, Ecuador working with Casa de la Ninez, a shelter for street- and working-class children, to support existing programs and develop new ones. Live in the shelter for four weeks and with a host family for the other four.
