PARKING
Parking at Stanford is limited so please plan to arrive early to allow yourself plenty of time (estimate 30-45 minutes) to purchase a parking permit and find a parking space.

     Parking options available to you:

  • We highly recommend you purchase a visitor parking scratcher permit in advance to save time and make it easier on the day of your visit. This can be done by sending or FAXing (650-724-8676) a letter to the Parking and Transportation Services Office TWO WEEKS in advance. Include the number of visitor scratcher permits you need, a check or credit card number, your contact information (email, phone number), and mailing address. You will be sent the appropriate number of scratcher permits. On the day of your arrival, simply scratch off the current month, day and year on the permit and hang it on your rear view mirror. You can park in any metered parking or visitor lot. (See Career Development Center/Parking Map below)
  • If you can't purchase a permit in advance, you can buy a visitor parking scratcher permit the day of your visit (7:30AM-5:30PM) at the Parking and Transportation Services Office. They are located at 340 Bonair Siding (off Campus Drive, between Serra Street and Maples Pavillion. 650-723-9362). The Visitor Scratcher permit costs $12.00 and can be used in any metered parking space or visitor lot. (See Career Development Center/Parking Map below)
  • There are Pay and Display parking machines in certain lots which allow you to pay by cash or credit card. You may purchase up to 8 hours of parking. The machines accept credit cards, cash or coins; You should have the correct amount of money if you do not use your credit card, since these machines do not issue change. The receipt should be placed on the car dashboard with the expiration time and date facing up.
