Summer Internships
Funding is available for students who have secured a summer internship
with an international organization or NGO that works on international
policy issues. Stipends can range up to $4,000 and may be used to cover
room and board, living expenses and travel.
Students are required to apply for a summer internship stipend by
submitting the following information to the Graduate Student Services
Officer:
1. A letter from the organization where the internship will be held,
describing the responsibilities expected of the internship
2. A proposal stating how the internship will contribute to the IPS
degree and future career plans
3. A budget breakdown of how the money will be used
Decisions are made on the basis of substantive work entailed in
the internship; contribution to the academic program of the applicant;
and contribution to likely career plan of the applicant.
Applications are due at the end of May and funding decisions will
be made on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted.
