Provides work permits for students to work:
- 6 months maximum anywhere in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
- 4 months in Australia, for and 18-30 year old US citizens
- 12 months in New Zealand, for and 18-30 year old US citizens
- 4 months in Ireland
- 6 months in Canada
No job placement, but assists with job hunting and housing resources. Program Fee: Yes

Program offers work permit for:
- 4 months in Australia
-12 months in New Zealand

Work and Travel Ireland www.workandtravelireland.org/
Program offers:
- Work permit for 4 months for the Republic of Ireland.
In addition it provides: first nights’ housing, comprehensive orientation: jobs, housing, tax, bank accounts, social events & travel opportunities, resource center and support services in Ireland, access to the Work in Ireland resource room with PC’s, internet access, jobs noticeboard and travel support. If you have found an internship in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden and need a short-term work permit, this organization maybe able to help you obtain one. It takes 3-4 months to secure work permit, so plan ahead. Program Fee: Yes

Click on "work authorization programs". If you have an internship offer for Germany or Switzerland for up to 1 year, this organization can help you in obtaining the work permit. Available to current students and recent graduates. Program Fee: Yes

United Kingdom
London - The London Student Housing Guide www.studenthousing.lon.ac.uk
A good website for students in London, it has guides to the different areas of London and what the average rents are in each area. It also includes links to other London accommodation websites.

London - Government Website www.london.gov.uk
The official website for the Mayor of London, the London Assembly and the Greater London Authority. Click on “London Life” at the top of the home page, then click on “Housing” on the left side of the next page. It has a very comprehensive guide to renting and living in London.

London - Transport for London www.tfl.gov.uk
A good place to find out if public transportation is easily accessible from your London residence and how much the transportation will cost from your area. If the housing is cheap, it may still be expensive to get to work each day.

The official tourist website for London, it provides all types of accommodation listings (including university housing for students), a city guide for young people, and information about work and volunteer opportunities.

London – YMCA www.londoncityy.org
The YMCA is very close to the center of London and all of its excitement. It provides rooms at cheap prices. Special student rates.

London - Hostels Association www.london-hostels.co.uk
A site containing information about hostels in London. The hostels are near important London attractions. Students or young people with jobs are able to stay at the hostel as long as they wish until they reach retirement age.

London - Queen Alexandra’s House www.queenalex.com
Short or long term accommodations for women students who are taking courses at a London college. Note: the residence closes for a period of time in the summer. It houses 100 young women, each in a single room.

London - Yellow Pages www.yell.com
Search under “Letting Agents” if you want to use a letting agency to help you find a flat or house in London.

An online magazine that includes ads for student and other accommodations. Look under “Property” and “About Loot” (link is at the bottom of the page) and then search under “Directories”.

This website lists many different types of hostel-like accommodations throughout the UK. Search by type and by region.

Search for a letting agency that handles properties in the area where you wish to live. Make sure they are accredited by a letting agents’ association.

A website with a listing of houses and flats for rent in the UK.

Search for accommodations in Florence. Many options are near universities. Choose from lofts, studio apartments, rooms, and one- to four-room apartments.

Housing in Rome, especially for students studying abroad. Furnished rooms are available in many of the accommodations sponsored by ICI, and the housing is close to a number of universities in Rome.
